The experimental issue of Krimi! 0 that Boris Brosowski and I created in record time last year was a resounding success. We got great feedback and sold way more than we had initially anticipated.
So next up: The official premiere issue that will come out at the end of this month.
That issue will have around 200 pages with a smaller font than the Number 0 so is chockfull with very in depth research: Check out the overview that Boris provided.
I personally provided about 35 pages for it, including a piece that I am super proud of: a biographical overview of writer Ladislas Fodor.
Up until now close to nothing was known about Fodor's life but with this piece we will now have a very solid basis for future research. It's no exaggeration to say that this will for quite a while remain the most complete biography about him available!
Krimi! 1 will be out on September 30 on Amazon and only available on print (again both soft- and hardcover). Unfortunately pre-orders are not possible for this one so keep your eyes peeled (and if I don't forget I will update this post with a link to it when it's out.
With the premiere issue coming out soon, it is time to say goodbye to the Number 0.
Once the #1 is out, the softcover version will be taken away from Amazon. (The hardcover will remain up for a little while longer.... but also not forever!)
So if you still haven't purchased Krimi! 0, now is your final chance.
The issue is available on Amazon US and Amazon UK (as well as in all the other relevant Amazon stores).
With the magazine our focus is on very detailed research. It is possible that this level of deep research is not for everyone and some people may just be prefer a rundown of every Krimi ever made.
And Boris can provide just that!
He has written a massive tome about all the contemporary Krimis that includes many a film I hadn't even heard of, let alone seen!
In actual fact the book is so huge that it had to be split into two parts.
The first one, KRIMI THE ENCYCLOPEDIA. PART I 1958-1964, will come out on December 1.
In contrast to the magazine, this book will also be available as an eBook, that can already be preordered (Amazon US, Amazon UK).
The print versions will then become available on the day.
Part 2 will be published in the course of 2026.
And last but certainly not least, both Boris and I have provided separate articles for the booklet that comes out with Eureka Entertainment's latest box set, FANTÔMAS RETURNS! THE FANTÔMAS TRILOGY 1964–67 (to be released on November 24).
This is such a fun series and now my third contribution to a Bluray set .
